no tent?
...no worries!

If you’re not a regular camper and don’t have all the gear then why not consider hiring a caravan or a pre-erected tent? You might be very surprised at how inexpensive the pre-erected tent option is and how easy it makes camping.

If camping is not your thing and you prefer the comfort of a normal bed there are many great B&B’s around the Peterborough area as well as small cottage lets and some very good hotels. For more information the Peterborough Tourist Information website: www.visitpeterborough.com

Volunteering

Be part of the team!

Faith Camp couldn’t happen without the huge army of volunteers who give countless hours of their time each year to make it such a success.

From the Arena stewards to the catering team and the children’s workers to the afternoon sports co-ordinators there are hundreds of jobs to be done before, during and after the week itself. It’s fantastic to know that Faith Camp has been a life-changing week for thousands of people for over 35 years, and you could be part of the team of people who make Faith Camp 2017 happen!

If you’d like to volunteer start your online booking as usual and select the Volunteer option when asked what ticket you would like. You’ll then be able to fill in your Volunteer Application and select which team(s) you’d like apply to be a part of. Once we have reviewed your application we’ll be in touch to let you know more.

Faith Camp FAQs

The Basics

What is Faith Camp?

Faith Camp is a self catering event: You need to bring your own tent or caravan if you are staying on site unless you have made alternative accommodation arrangements. The site is arranged in units where you can either camp with friends or where you can make a whole load of new friends… unit life is one of the most exciting elements of being at Faith Camp.

Do I need to book in advance?

It is preferable that you book in advance as it is cheaper and you are more likely to be able to be placed on a unit with people you may know.

Do you offer group bookings?

Yes! We love the fact that many Churches attend Faith Camp as a group and experience the whole week together. When booking online, you have the option to create a group code which you can give to your friends or your Church so that you can all camp together on-site.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes! When you check out using our Online Booking system you’ll find all the information you need about making instalment payments. Please note, you’ll need to pay in full before entry on-site.

Accommodation & what to bring

No tent? No worries!

Every year we recommend a number of local companies who will be able to hire tents and caravans off...You can even get them to put the tent up for you! For more information click here.

What do I need to pack?

Whilst we are not camping in a remote wilderness it is important to remember that you are still camping, so there are a few things you may want to make sure you pack:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Air bed, camp bed or roll mat
  • Tent poles and tent pegs!
  • Ice packs for your cool box
  • Torch
  • Radio - so you can check out Faith Camp’s very own radio station
  • Bible, notepad and pen!

Getting to Faith Camp & what happens when I arrive?

What’s the best way to get to site?

The Peterborough Arena is really easy to find, situated just off the A1(M). Click here for directions.

What do I do when I arrive?

You will be met at the gate by one of the welcome team who will book you in and tell you how to get to your unit. They will give you a event wristband which you must wear all week so everybody can see you’re allowed on site. Once you arrive at your unit you’ll be greeted by your unit host. They are your host for the entire week so please ask them any questions you have – they are there to help you.

What’s the schedule look like?

We’ll be posting information soon about the Schedule for Faith Camp so keep an eye out for the details or visit our Facebook page to keep up to date with all the latest information: www.facebook.com/faithcamp

I don’t know much about God...

That’s not a problem at all! You don’t need to be a Christian to come to Faith Camp, in fact we’re going to have some special sessions for anyone who wants to know more about God...why not come along!

Can I volunteer?

There are loads of ways you can get involved across the site from Security to stewarding and First Aid to loading trucks. If you would like to help out in any way please start your online booking as usual and select the Volunteer option when asked what ticket you would like. You’ll then be able to fill in your Volunteer Application and select which team(s) you’d like apply to be a part of.
