We are not here for ourselves

MISSION REALLY MATTERS!

"Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.” Mark 16:15 (NLT). That is the goal - to preach the gospel to the whole world – and it really is attainable in our generation. We have never, ever, been so close to fulfilling Mark 16:15.

Specific areas of need abound. The 10/40 window is where the majority of those who have never heard the Gospel live. This area includes northern Africa and stretches across the Middle East, taking in India, much of China and south east Asia. Despite the huge population this area represents it is the destination for only 1 out of 10 evangelical overseas workers, only 1% of all Scripture is distributed here, and less than 2% of mission funds go to support workers in the 10/40 window. Europe is also in desperate need of rediscovering its Christian heritage and its call to world mission.

We are into changing statistics. We work with those planning and praying about working abroad, releasing more workers into the harvest every year. We want to see the job completed! Is God calling you to spend a GAP year working in overseas mission? Short term mission opportunities abound and for some there is a call to forever mission. One thing is certain; God has called all of us to go. Where will you go?

GLOBAL MISSION STATISTICS

120 people become Christians every minute. or if you prefer big numbers 1,200,000 people become Christians every week. In 1960 there were 24 non-believers for every believer but less than 50 years later In 2006 there are just 6 non-believers for every believer
