MYSTERY QUESTIONS
kingdomfaith.com tracked down a few of the guys behind The Love The Mystery to ask some important questions. Danny and Corrie-Anna are responsible for the main vocals, Matthew is one of the guitarists and Joe plays drums. Here’s what they had to say…
kf.com: What was the best bit in the making of The Love The Mystery?
Matthew: Probably the song writing part. Not actually writing the songs but working on them. When someone wrote a new song and we would work on it, sort out parts and make it sound good.
Danny: It was the recording process for me, getting in the studio and recording stuff, working with Tim and Matt and the other guys. And doing the drums edits was a laugh…
Matthew: We didn’t edit the drums, they were perfect! [laughs]
kf.com: Were the drums perfect, Joe?
Joe: Er…no! Anyway, the best bit for me was doing the drum recording because, obviously, that was the main bit I was involved in.
Danny: That was the only bit you were involved in! [laughs]
Corrie-Anna: But I liked it when we did the drums because we all got to hang out as a band.
kf.com: In your opinion, what’s the best song on The Love The Mystery?
Matthew: The Love The Mystery
Joe: Yeah, you said it.
Matthew: But then shortly followed by other songs.
kf.com: So the second best song?
Matthew: In The Glory Of Your Face
Danny: I haven’t made my mind up yet.
Joe: I like Emmanuel
Corrie-Anna: I like The Love The Mystery. It’s an epic...
Matthew: She says it quietly [imitates Corrie-Anna] ‘It’s an epic!’
kf.com: Why do you think someone should buy The Love The Mystery?
Matthew: It’s just as good as the Kaiser Chiefs and they’ve sold loads of albums! [laughs]
Corrie-Anna: I think it shows that worship doesn’t have to be old or boring; it can be free and cool.
Joe: If people listen to it, it will definitely help them engage. A couple of the worship songs on there are really powerful, the sort of songs you can stick on and listen to and worship to.
Matthew: I agree with Joe actually. I was just messing about with the Kaiser Chiefs thing – don’t put that in…or you could put that in to say I didn’t want to put it in.
Joe: You wrecked it now!
Price: £10.00
