The Church, Israel and God’s unfolding story

One of the most misunderstood aspects of God’s unfolding Kingdom story is the role of Israel and the Jewish people in His purposes today. For many in the Church, Israel has been consigned to history, with little or no relevance to what God is doing now. Others see modern Israel primarily as a political entity rather than recognising its place within the biblical story.

In many parts of the Church, the idea that the Church has simply replaced Israel has shaped people’s understanding of Scripture, while the Jewishness of Jesus and the significance of His Jewish identity has been overlooked. At the same time, antisemitism is rising rapidly, yet many Christians remain unaware of the particular responsibility the Church has to stand against antisemitism and stand with the Jewish people.

Kingdom Alignment seeks to create a space to explore these questions and recover a Kingdom understanding of God’s unfolding story:

• What is the connection between God’s Kingdom, the Church and Israel?
• What does this mean for Christians, Jews and the next generation?
• And why does this matter so much today?

Through biblical teaching, engaging dialogue and personal stories from both Jewish and Arab voices in Israel, Kingdom Alignment will explore what God is doing in these days and the place of Israel and the Jewish people within God’s Kingdom purposes. It will also address common misconceptions and misleading narratives that can prevent people in the Church from engaging fully with the biblical perspective on Israel and the Jewish people.

Together, we will consider not only what the Bible says about Israel, but also what God is doing in Israel today—and what this means for the Church and the nations as we seek to understand and align ourselves with His unfolding Kingdom story.
