Little Builders

Fun activity based mornings for 0-5s and their parents or carers...

Due to the current Government Guidance around "Safe use of multi-purpose community facilities", and "Safe use of places of worship during the pandemic" we have made some changes to the way Little Builders runs both for your safety and that of our team.

Please read the information below to find out how we’ll be running our sessions in light of these changes.

What can I expect?

Due to current restrictions Little Builders will look very different to how you may know it. The session will consist of the soft play and story/dance time only and no other toys or ride-ons will be available at the moment. If you have younger children, please feel free to bring your own toys to keep them entertained but these must not be shared with any other households.

What are the session times?

We will be running 2 sessions on a Tuesday morning from 9:30am-10:30am and from 10:45am-11:45am and 1 session on a Thursday morning from 9:30am-10:30am.

Will the Soft Play area be open?

The soft play area to be open for the first 45 minutes of each session, children will be able to come in and out of the play area during this time, following which it will be closed to give us time to clean the equipment before the next session. Please remember to bring socks as your child will not be allowed to enter the Soft Play Area without them.

Adults will not be permitted to enter the soft play unless to retrieve a child.

Will there be any songs?

The final 15 minutes of each session will be for a story time and a song for children to participate in with actions and dancing. Due to the current Government Guidance singing will not be allowed or encouraged. We look forward to the time when we will be able to sing together again!

Can I just turn up or do I need to pre-book?

Online booking is required to attend one of our Little Builders sessions. Please use the links below to book in. Due to the limited number of spaces available at this event we are allowing only 1 adult per child and each adult can bring a maximum of 4 children with them. Each session is limited to 20 adult places.

Booking for Tuesday sessions opens the previous Wednesday and for Thursday sessions booking will open on the previous Friday. Payment is to be made via PayPal - an online secure payment site.

We are also encouraging people to only book for one session per week so that there are spaces for everyone who wants to attend.

Bookings cost £2 for the first child you are bringing and £1 for each additional child.

Do I have to wear a face covering?

Adults are required to wear a face mask/covering whilst in the building unless they are exempt. Please let the person at the Info Point know when you check in. All team members will be wearing face shields so that those attending can see their smiling faces :)

What other safety measures are in place?

We are asking that adults remain seated as much as possible to minimise moving around the building and to adhere to Social Distancing guidelines.

We will be taking everyone’s temperature when they arrive at the building. If you have a temperature of more than 37.4°C you will not be allowed entry. Please do not attend this event if you or anyone in your household is feeling ill or display any of the symptoms of COVID-19.

Tables and chairs will be allocated for each booking and set out to comply with social distancing guidelines. Push chairs are to be kept by the table throughout the session.

Toilet facilities are available but are operating on a one-in-one-out system.

Craft materials, such as sheets of paper and stickers, will be provided for each table. Pencils and crayons will be cleaned after each use.

Will there be any refreshments?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide refreshments at the Little Builders sessions and our HUB Cafe will not be open so please bring your own drinks and refreshments with you.
