A House of Prayer for All Nations

Part of the vision and DNA of Kingdom Faith Church is to be a people who contend for the purposes of God in our nation and the nations through strong, persistent and consistent prayer.

God has called us to be a house of prayer for all nations and part of the strategy that He’s given us involves building a wall of prayer in the spirit around the church, around those we're reaching out to and around the nation where God has placed us.

Habakkuk 2:1 says: “I will stand at my watch and set myself on the rampart and I will watch to see what God says to me.”

As we respond to God's call this year to take our stand and position ourselves for breakthrough and increase, we're going to be launching Pray 365 - a continuous, daily, communal rhythm of prayer within the body that creates a barrier against the enemy and a space for God to work among and through us.

In Nehemiah, when God's people rebuilt the city of Jerusalem, the Bible tells us that all the people were involved - each family and household worked together to build the walls. Pray 365 is not about coming to more prayer meetings - it's about each person standing in the gap as watchmen, contending for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Pray 365

How does it work?

Each person in the church selects a random number between 1 and 31 and commits to pray on that same date every month throughout the year. With everyone involved across all 4 congregations in West Sussex there will be around 10-15 people praying on any given day. When it's your turn to pray, focus your prayer on these three areas as the Holy Spirit leads you throughout the day:

  1. Pray for the church
  2. Pray for the lost and those you’re reaching out to
  3. Pray for the nation

If something comes up where you cannot pray on your allocated day, or you have day 30 or 31 and there are only 28 or 30 days in the particular month we are in, pray on the next day or the one before. The main thing is that we are building a wall of prayer together in the spirit continuously throughout the year.

Alongside the prayer, we want to encourage everyone who is able, to fast at least one meal on the day you pray every month. Fasting is part of building strength and spiritual resilience in our prayer life and God has called us to strong, persistent prayer that doesn’t back down when challenges and opposition comes - the first opposition is usually our flesh!

As we cultivate this lifestyle of prayer and fasting throughout the year we’re going to see victory after victory, answer after answer, breakthrough after breakthrough in Jesus’ name, and be able to encourage one another with all that God is doing when we gather on Sundays and at other times.

Below you’ll find some pointers and Scriptures for each of the 3 areas we’ll be focussing on in prayer, but the important thing is to be led by the Holy Spirit and pray what He’s showing you with faith and expectation in the One for whom nothing is impossible!

How do I get involved?
